Large Watercolor Journal

There's something fitting about paper that outlasted its original purpose finding new life here, holding watercolor washes and studio experiments instead of whatever it was first meant for. The wood covers ground the book — solid, tactile, meant to be opened and closed for years.   The pages inside are a heavy watercolor paper my father gave me as a child — kept for decades, waiting for the right project to become worthy of it.

A large-format watercolor journal bound by hand, its covers cut from common plywood.
